Two Terrorists Surrender to Algerian Army in Separate Operations

Algiers – In a significant development highlighting the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism, two dangerous terrorists have surrendered to units of the Algerian People’s National Army (ANP) in the provinces of Adrar and In Guezzam.

The individuals, identified as “A.A.”, also known as “Abu Jaafar,” and “H.CH.”, known as “El Cherif,” turned themselves in to the competent authorities during the period from November 26th to December 2nd, 2025. This act underscores the effectiveness of the ANP’s counter-terrorism strategies across the nation.

According to the periodic operational report of the ANP, the surrendered terrorists handed over a machine gun and three Kalashnikov-type submachine guns. Additionally, a substantial quantity of ammunition and various equipment in their possession were also seized.

In related news, separate detachments of the ANP successfully apprehended four individuals providing support to terrorist groups in various operations throughout the national territory. This reflects the continued high-quality operations aimed at tightening the noose around the remnants of terrorism and drying up sources of funding and support.

These successes underscore the professionalism and readiness of the Algerian People’s National Army in thwarting all attempts to undermine the country’s security and stability. The ANP continues to implement proactive field operations to prevent any disruptive activity.
