Algiers – In a symbolic gesture during his official visit to Algeria, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko today laid a wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial in Algiers. The President was greeted by a delegation of Algerian officials upon his arrival at the iconic monument.
President Lukashenko solemnly placed the wreath at the foot of the memorial, which commemorates the sacrifices made by Algerian martyrs during the War of Independence. This act underscores the deep respect for the Algerian people’s struggle for freedom and self-determination.
During his visit, President Lukashenko toured the memorial complex, receiving detailed explanations about the history of the Algerian Revolution and its key milestones. He remarked on the significance of Algeria’s role in the global liberation movement.
