Algerian companies have concluded their participation in the Oman International Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food Exhibition (OMAN AGROFOOD) in Muscat, Oman, by signing seven trade agreements with Omani firms. This achievement underscores the dynamism of Algerian businesses and their capacity to expand commercial partnerships regionally and internationally.

The Algerian pavilion, honored as the exhibition’s guest of honor, attracted significant interest from visitors and economic stakeholders throughout the event. Attendees expressed admiration for the quality and diversity of Algerian products, reflecting the advancements made by national institutions in agricultural production and food industries.

On the exhibition’s closing day, the seven export agreements were formalized, encompassing a wide array of national products. These included dates, vegetables, fruits, chocolate spread, olive oil, and various other food items. This confirms the commitment of Algerian enterprises to broaden their trade partnerships and strengthen their presence in Gulf and international markets.

The Algerian participation was overseen by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, aligning with its efforts to encourage national exports, support economic operators, and bolster state strategies for diversifying the national economy. This initiative aims to enhance Algeria’s position in foreign markets, opening new avenues for national products and fostering economic collaborations.

The signing ceremonies were attended by the Algerian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, Mohammed Ali Bougazi, and the Director of Export at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Zouhair Moussaoui. These agreements are expected to significantly boost trade between Algeria and Oman. The focus remains on diversifying the Algerian economy and increasing its presence in global markets.
