High-Level Delegation Arrives in Timimoun for Desert Tourism Festival

Timimoun, Algeria – A significant ministerial delegation arrived in Timimoun today to officially inaugurate the 7th International Desert Tourism Festival. The event underscores the growing importance of Saharan tourism to Algeria’s national economy and cultural preservation efforts.

The delegation was led by the Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries, Houria Meddahi, and included Minister of Communication, Zouhir Bouamama; Minister of Environment and Quality of Life, Kaouther Krikou; Secretary of State for the National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib; President of the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council, Mohamed Boukhari; and the Director-General of the Algerian Agency for Investment Promotion (AAPI), Omar Rekkache.

Also in attendance were representatives from both houses of Parliament, numerous ambassadors, representatives from international bodies and organizations, and senior state officials.
