Drone Registration Mandatory in Algeria by April 2026

Algiers, December 4, 2025 – The Algerian Ministry of National Defense announced Thursday that all citizens possessing unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems, commonly known as drones, are required to register their devices with the National Center for Onboard Unmanned Aircraft Systems (CNSAPB) before April 30, 2026.

The Ministry’s statement referenced Presidential Decree No. 21-285, dated July 13, 2021, which establishes the general framework governing the operation of UAV systems. The decree formally recognizes the entry into service of the CNSAPB.

According to the statement, individuals owning drones must register their systems by contacting the CNSAPB directly. Owners are required to bring the necessary documentation to the center after scheduling an appointment in advance.

Appointments can be made by calling the following numbers: 021905669 or 021905670. Alternatively, inquiries and appointment requests can be submitted via email to CONTACT-CNSAPB@MDN.DZ.

The Ministry emphasized the importance of adhering to the registration deadline to ensure compliance with national regulations. This measure aims to enhance the monitoring and responsible use of drone technology within the country.

The CNSAPB is responsible for overseeing all aspects related to UAV operations in Algeria, including registration, authorization, and enforcement of safety protocols. The center’s establishment reflects the government’s commitment to managing the growing prevalence of drone technology and mitigating potential risks associated with its misuse.
