Three Palestinian Prisoners Die in Israeli Custody

Gaza – Three Palestinian prisoners from Gaza have died in Israeli custody, according to a joint statement released today by the Commission of Detainees’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society.

The organizations stated they received notification of the deaths of two prisoners. In a separate incident, Israeli authorities informed a family of the death of their imprisoned son.

The statement asserts that these three deaths are part of a larger pattern of prisoner fatalities since the beginning of the ongoing conflict. The organizations attribute the deaths to torture, starvation, medical neglect, and systematic human rights violations within Israeli prisons.

“Many bodies of Gazan detainees remain subject to enforced disappearance, alongside dozens who were summarily executed,” the statement alleges. “The images of bodies handed over after the ceasefire provided evidence of systematic executions carried out by the occupation forces.”

The organizations describe this period as the deadliest in the history of the Palestinian prisoner movement since 1967. According to documented data from prisoner support organizations, the number of identified prisoners who have died in Israeli custody since 1967 has now reached 321.
