Algiers, November 6, 2025 – Algeria and Egypt have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and coordinating on critical regional and international matters, particularly concerning the Palestinian cause.
Following a meeting with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Expatriate Affairs, Badr Abdel-Aati, emphasized the “complete alignment of positions” between the two nations and their “mutual desire to bolster cooperation across various fields, benefiting both brotherly peoples.”
Minister Abdel-Aati stated that discussions with President Tebboune encompassed a range of issues, acknowledging the unprecedented challenges and instability facing the region. He highlighted the Palestinian issue as a priority, stressing the need for coordinated efforts between Egypt and Algeria to counter attempts to undermine Palestinian rights. He also underscored the importance of ensuring the continuous flow of humanitarian and medical aid to the Gaza Strip, addressing the dire humanitarian situation.
The Minister further informed President Tebboune of Egypt’s readiness to host an international conference for the reconstruction of Gaza, expressing confidence in Algeria’s strong participation, reflecting its unwavering support for Palestinian rights. He also acknowledged Algeria’s consistent support for joint Arab and African initiatives.
Discussions also centered on preparations for the ninth session of the Algerian-Egyptian Joint High Committee, scheduled to take place in Cairo between November 23rd and 26th. The session, to be co-chaired by the Prime Ministers of both countries, is viewed as a significant opportunity to further enhance bilateral relations, particularly in the economic, trade, and investment sectors.
Minister Abdel-Aati noted the promising opportunities arising from Algeria’s progress under President Tebboune’s leadership, creating a favorable environment for enhanced cooperation.
This meeting underscores the strong and enduring partnership between Algeria and Egypt, reflecting their shared commitment to regional stability and mutual prosperity.
