Algiers – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Algeria, Fernando Moran Calvo, at the Presidential Palace today. The meeting was a farewell visit from Ambassador Moran Calvo, who is concluding his term in Algeria.
The discussions focused on the strong bilateral relationship between Algeria and Spain, and opportunities for continued cooperation. President Tebboune acknowledged Ambassador Moran Calvo’s efforts in strengthening ties between the two nations during his tenure.
The meeting highlights the ongoing diplomatic engagement between Algeria and Spain, despite recent geopolitical shifts in the region. Both countries maintain significant economic and strategic interests, underscoring the importance of continued dialogue and collaboration.
Boualem Boualem, Director of the Presidential Cabinet, and Amar Abba, Advisor to the President in charge of Diplomatic Affairs, also attended the meeting. Their presence signifies the high-level importance Algeria places on its relationship with Spain.
