Algiers, Algeria – Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received the Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Salma Melika Hadadi, at the Ministry headquarters on Sunday evening.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of Ms. Hadadi’s participation in the fourth edition of the African Conference on Emerging Enterprises.
During the discussions, both parties reviewed the existing cooperation between Algeria and the African Union in various developmental fields. Special emphasis was placed on initiatives aligned with the implementation of programs stemming from the Continental Agenda 2063.
Minister Attaf reiterated Algeria’s commitment to supporting the African Union’s developmental goals and its active participation in initiatives designed to foster economic growth and stability across the continent. He highlighted Algeria’s role as a key partner in driving sustainable development and promoting intra-African collaboration.
The Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission expressed her appreciation for Algeria’s consistent support and leadership within the AU. She acknowledged Algeria’s significant contributions to various continental projects and its dedication to advancing the African Union’s agenda.
The meeting served as an opportunity to identify new avenues for collaboration and to strengthen the existing partnership between Algeria and the African Union in the pursuit of shared developmental objectives.
Both sides affirmed their commitment to continue working closely together to address the challenges facing the African continent and to unlock its vast potential for economic and social progress.
