E-Transaction Trust Services Bill Presented to Parliament

Algiers – A proposed law outlining the general rules concerning trust services for electronic transactions and electronic identification has been presented to the People’s National Assembly (APN). The bill was introduced on Monday, December 8, 2025.

The Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr. Ali Zerrouki, delivered a presentation to the APN members, detailing the scope and objectives of the legislation. The proposed law aims to establish a robust framework for secure and reliable electronic transactions within Algeria.

The legislation addresses key aspects of trust services, including electronic signatures, electronic seals, electronic time stamps, electronic delivery services, and website authentication. It seeks to provide a legal basis for the recognition and acceptance of these services, fostering greater confidence in online interactions and commerce.
