Chief of Staff Visits Injured in Beni Abbes Accident

Algiers – The Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, Lieutenant General Said Chengriha, visited injured victims of the recent traffic accident in Beni Abbes at the Central Army Hospital in Ain Naadja today, DZWatch has learned.

Accompanied by the Central Director of Military Health Services of the Ministry of National Defence, Lieutenant General Chengriha personally assessed the condition of those injured in the tragic incident that occurred in the Beni Abbes region. He expressed his support and wished them a speedy recovery, according to sources within the Ministry of National Defence. He also extended his condolences to the families of those who perished.

The accident, which took place last Saturday in the Beni Abbes province, resulted in the deaths of 14 people, including two members of the People’s National Army, and left several others injured. Following the accident, Lieutenant General Chengriha ordered the immediate medical evacuation of the injured to the Central Army Hospital in Ain Naadja for specialized treatment and care.

A total of nineteen injured individuals, comprising four civilians and fifteen members of the People’s National Army, were transferred to the facility in the First Military Region. The hospital is equipped to provide comprehensive medical assistance and rehabilitation services to those affected by the devastating accident.
