Algeria has reaffirmed its unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people, firmly asserting that the comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue does not lie in genocide or mass deportations but in the establishment of a Palestinian state with its capital in East Jerusalem, based on the borders of June 1967.
This statement was made during a meeting of the Algerian Supreme Security Council held on Monday, under the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who also serves as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the Minister of Defense.
The Algerian presidency clarified, in a statement, that after a thorough examination of the dire conditions faced by the Palestinian people and the systematic acts of genocide perpetrated by occupying forces in the occupied Palestinian territories, Algeria vehemently condemns these operations against innocent civilians. They expressed full solidarity with their Palestinian brethren and held a steadfast belief that the ultimate solution does not involve genocide or mass deportations but rather entails the establishment of a Palestinian state with its capital in East Jerusalem, based on the borders of June 1967.
According to the statement, Algeria calls upon the international community to assume its responsibilities, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to ensure the protection of innocent Palestinian civilians.
