Algeria Showcases Energy Expertise at Turkish Summit

Istanbul, Turkey – Algeria highlighted its experience in the energy sector at the 15th Turkish Energy Summit, held in Istanbul on December 8th and 9th, 2025. The event drew significant international participation, with over 1,500 experts and stakeholders from various energy sectors worldwide.

The summit featured high-level discussions on the major transformations currently shaping the global energy landscape. Algeria was represented by the Head of the Petroleum Regulation Authority and Vice President of the Association of Mediterranean Energy Regulators (MEDREG), Amin Remini. Mr. Remini actively contributed to discussions focusing on critical shifts within the energy industry.

This year’s summit, themed “What is the Future of the Energy Industry?”, addressed pivotal strategic issues. These included the challenges of energy transition, the impact of geopolitical shifts on energy markets, the role of innovation and technology in ensuring supply security, and the evolution of energy policies at both regional and international levels.

The summit served as a crucial platform for showcasing Algeria’s expertise in regulating the hydrocarbon sector. It also facilitated the strengthening of Mediterranean cooperation in the energy domain. Furthermore, Algeria presented investment opportunities available to foreign partners, particularly in the fields of both traditional and renewable energy sources.
