Algiers, December 10, 2025 – Algeria Post (Algérie Poste) has issued an important announcement regarding savings and reserve account holders.
According to a statement released on their official Facebook page, Algeria Post will be replacing traditional savings booklets with the new CNEP Poste card. This transition aims to modernize services and streamline transactions for its customers.
Algeria Post clarified that the exchange process will take place at the same post office branch where the original savings account was opened. Customers are advised to visit their respective branches to initiate the swap.
During the transition period, customers will be provided with a temporary receipt. This receipt will allow them to continue conducting transactions as usual until their CNEP Poste card is issued. Algeria Post has assured account holders that the temporary receipt will be fully functional for all standard banking operations.
Importantly, the temporary receipt will contain the password required to access the ECNEP online platform. This will allow customers to manage their accounts and perform online transactions while awaiting their physical card.
Algeria Post encourages all savings account holders to visit their local post office branch at their earliest convenience to complete the exchange and benefit from the enhanced features of the CNEP Poste card system. This initiative reflects Algeria Post’s commitment to providing efficient and accessible banking services to the Algerian public.
