Algerian Justice Minister Hosts Kuwaiti Judicial Delegation

Algiers, December 10, 2025 – The Algerian Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Lotfi Boudjemaa, today received Counselor Adel Majed Bourseli, President of the Court of Cassation (Supreme Court) and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council of Kuwait, along with his accompanying delegation, at the Ministry headquarters.

The meeting was attended by Taher Mamouni, First President of the Supreme Court and Vice-President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Abdel Rahim Mejid, Attorney General at the Supreme Court, and several senior officials from the Ministry of Justice.

Discussions centered on avenues for enhanced judicial cooperation between Algeria and Kuwait, with a particular focus on the exchange of expertise in the judicial and legal fields. Key areas of interest included comparative legal systems and best practices in judicial administration.

This meeting is part of a larger visit by Counselor Adel Majed Bourseli, in his capacity as President of the Court of Cassation and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council of Kuwait, and a delegation from the Kuwaiti Court of Cassation, to the Supreme Court of Algeria. The visit, which began on December 7th and concludes today, December 10th, aims to strengthen ties between the two countries’ judicial systems.

The Algerian Ministry of Justice views this exchange as a valuable opportunity to foster closer collaboration and promote mutual understanding within the legal communities of both nations.
