Algeria Launches “Narakom,” a Network for Transparency and Anti-Corruption

Ibrahim Murad, the Minister of Interior, Local Government, and Urban Planning, presided over the official launch ceremony of Algeria’s Network for Transparency, “Narakom,” and its digital portal this Monday morning.

According to an official statement from the ministry, this interactive network was established by the Supreme Authority for Transparency and the Prevention and Combating of Corruption. The project was created in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, Local Government, and Urban Planning and is coordinated with the National Observatory for Civil Society. The initiative aims to bolster the role of civil society in the national movement to enhance transparency and fight corruption.

The launching ceremony was conducted virtually and was attended by representatives from all states of the Republic, the statement added. By embracing technology to foster an interactive platform, Algeria takes another step in demonstrating its commitment to promoting governmental transparency and mitigating corruption within the country.
