Tunis, December 11, 2025 – Prime Minister Sifi Greye arrived in Tunis today, accompanied by a substantial ministerial delegation, for an official visit. The visit coincides with the 23rd session of the Joint Algerian-Tunisian High Commission for Cooperation.
Prime Minister Greye was received at Carthage International Airport by Tunisian Head of Government, Sara Zaafarani, according to sources within the Prime Minister’s office.
This session is a direct result of the directives issued by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his Tunisian counterpart, President Kais Saied. It embodies the shared commitment to strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and historical solidarity between the two nations and their respective populations.
The High Commission represents a significant opportunity to bolster bilateral cooperation and explore avenues for elevating it to match the robust relationship between the two countries. Discussions will focus on key issues aimed at promoting bilateral partnerships, supporting investment, and removing obstacles hindering the development of economic exchanges.
Both sides are keen to enhance collaboration in areas related to the development of border regions, with the goal of transforming them into spaces for cooperation and prosperity. The agenda includes discussions on joint projects and initiatives designed to stimulate economic growth and improve the quality of life for residents in these areas.
The ministerial delegation accompanying Prime Minister Greye includes: Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad and African Affairs; Mohamed Arkab, Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines; Said Sayoud, Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport; Abdelkrim Bouzard, Minister of Finance; Yahia Bachir, Minister of Industry; Wassim Kouideri, Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry; Mehdi Yacine Walid, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries; Kamal Rezig, Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion; Walid Sadi, Minister of Sports; and Omar Rekache, Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency.
This visit underscores the continued commitment of both Algeria and Tunisia to fostering strong and mutually beneficial relations.
