National Labor Institute to Become Hub for Digital Training

The National Labor Institute is poised to become a leading center for specialized digital training, according to Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Security, Abdelhak Sayhi. The Minister emphasized the critical role of digitalization in modernizing the labor system and enhancing public training services.

During a review meeting dedicated to assessing the institute’s activities, Minister Sayhi issued directives aimed at strengthening the institute’s effectiveness and adapting it to digital transformations. A key focus will be on prioritizing distance learning programs and interactive digital platforms to promote flexible learning opportunities.

Sayhi instructed the expansion of training programs to encompass various categories of workers and managers across all regions. He also stressed the importance of specialized training tailored to specific sector needs, while taking into account the unique characteristics of each organization. The transition to modern management methods, leveraging advanced information systems and developing digital registration platforms, is also a priority to ensure transparency and improved service quality.

Minister Sayhi urged the digitalization of archives and data related to labor market studies and databases. He also advocated for supporting affiliated organizations, strengthening institutional integration, and developing collaborative mechanisms between the institute and other central and decentralized structures.

Highlighting the central role of the National Labor Institute in preparing and implementing specialized training programs, the Minister emphasized the need to rehabilitate the institute’s headquarters and modernize its pedagogical equipment. This includes establishing digital rooms, providing audiovisual equipment, and creating interactive training rooms that meet the requirements of digital transformation. He also called for the widespread adoption of smart digital solutions in pedagogical programs.

The Minister underscored the institute’s vital role as a reference point for studies and research related to the world of work. He encouraged the preparation of analytical reports and sectoral studies to support informed decision-making.

Finally, Minister Sayhi emphasized the need to strengthen coordination between the institute and ministry officials to ensure effective support in implementing its strategic tasks. He also called for accelerating the pace of achievements in training and study programs, and directing efforts towards expanding partnerships with economic actors to align training with labor market needs. The Director-General of the institute presented a comprehensive overview of the annual performance and outlined the main features of the 2026 work program, which is based on integration.
