Algerian Defense Ministry Denies Mercenary Unit Claims in Sahel

Algiers – The Ministry of National Defense has vehemently denied recent reports circulating online alleging the creation of Algerian-backed mercenary units operating in the Sahel region. In a statement released Saturday, the ministry refuted what it described as baseless accusations and misleading information propagated by certain media outlets.
