Ben Guerina: MAK Separatist Attempts are ‘Declaration of War’

Algiers, December 13, 2025 – Abdelkader Ben Guerina, leader of the National Construction Movement, has strongly condemned the separatist activities of the organization known as MAK, branding it a terrorist movement. He stated that their attempts to divide Algeria constitute a “declaration of war” against the Algerian people.

During a public gathering at the party headquarters on Saturday, Ben Guerina asserted that MAK’s foundation lacks any legitimate basis. “It is not rooted in the land, the people, history, logic, or any semblance of representation or credibility,” he declared.

Furthermore, Ben Guerina asserted that the true battle lies not with the “handful of agents” within MAK, but with an external agenda seeking to retaliate against Algeria’s sovereign stance on issues such as the Palestinian cause, the Sahrawi issue, and its rejection of economic dependence and blackmail.

Ben Guerina also called for a comprehensive national dialogue to contribute to national mobilization in coordination with state institutions, in order to develop a plan…
