Algiers – The President of the Board of Directors of Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie (JSK), Hadi Ould Ali, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the unity of Algeria, rejecting any attempts to undermine the nation’s territorial integrity.
In a statement released Saturday, Ould Ali strongly condemned calls for secession promoted by the Movement for the Self-Determination of Kabylie (MAK), an organization designated as terrorist. He described these efforts as dangerous attempts to fracture Algerian society and promote unacceptable separatist agendas.
Ould Ali emphasized his firm belief in the sovereignty and national unity of Algeria, stating that the Kabylie region is an integral part of the nation. He stressed that his previous activism within the Berber cultural movement stemmed from a deep conviction to defend Amazigh identity, language, and cultural rights.
However, he clarified that these legitimate demands should not be exploited to justify projects aimed at dismantling the Algerian nation or undermining its unity. He warned against the manipulation of cultural diversity to serve dubious agendas that threaten the country’s stability and cohesion.
“The Kabylie region has always been, and will always remain, an inseparable part of Algeria,” Ould Ali asserted, highlighting its history, struggles, and patriotic stances. He called for strengthening collective awareness and rejecting narratives that exploit cultural diversity to achieve agendas that undermine the nation’s stability and unity.
