Algeria Sees Surge in Investment Projects in 2025

Algiers, December 15, 2025 – The Algerian National Investment Promotion Agency (ANAPI) reports a significant increase in investment activity across the country. According to Omar Rekkache, Director General of ANAPI, the national investment climate has experienced notable momentum, reflected in the high number of projects registered with the agency.

Speaking at a signing ceremony between ANAPI and the Ministry of Vocational Training and Education, Rekkache revealed that over 7,500 investment projects were registered as of November 30, 2025. This figure includes 3,833 new projects, 3,562 expansion projects, and the remainder focused on rehabilitation efforts.

Rekkache further elaborated that these figures bring the total number of registered projects since the implementation of the new investment provisions on November 1, 2022, to 18,712. The declared investment value amounts to 8.049 trillion dinars, with projections indicating the creation of over 454,800 direct jobs.

“This increasing momentum necessitates intensified efforts to provide a qualified workforce capable of meeting the demands of economic institutions and adapting to technological advancements and innovation across various sectors,” Rekkache stated. He emphasized that the new investment framework prioritizes projects with the potential to generate a substantial number of employment opportunities.

Rekkache commended the efforts of economic operators who have proactively coordinated with vocational training and education services to establish specialized training and qualification programs. He also praised initiatives aimed at aligning vocational training curricula with the actual needs of their investment projects. The government is commited to supporting investors and fostering economic growth.
