Algiers – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, today received Major General Yousef Al-Hunaiti, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces, at the Presidential Palace.
Major General Al-Hunaiti arrived in Algiers carrying a message from the King of Jordan to President Tebboune, further strengthening the ties between the two nations. The meeting underscores the ongoing cooperation and strategic dialogue between Algeria and Jordan on matters of mutual interest.
The audience was also attended by Lieutenant General Said Chengriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army. Boualem Boualem, Director of the President’s Office, was also present.
The discussions are believed to have covered regional security, military cooperation, and ways to enhance bilateral relations between Algeria and Jordan. Both countries have a shared commitment to stability and peace in the region, and this meeting serves to reinforce their partnership in addressing common challenges.
