Algiers, December 15, 2025 – The Minister of Youth, responsible for the Supreme Council of Youth, Mr. Mustapha Haidawi, received members of the National Youth Hostel Federation this evening, according to a statement released by the ministry.
The meeting, held earlier today, provided an opportunity for dialogue between the Minister and representatives of the Federation. Discussions centered around strengthening collaboration and exploring avenues for further development of youth hostel facilities and programs across the nation.
Key topics addressed included enhancing the accessibility of youth hostels for young people from all regions of Algeria, improving the quality of services offered, and promoting youth tourism and cultural exchange. The Federation members highlighted the important role youth hostels play in fostering a sense of community and providing affordable accommodation for young travelers and students.
Minister Haidawi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting initiatives that empower young people and promote their active participation in society. He emphasized the importance of youth hostels as vital infrastructure for supporting youth mobility and facilitating educational and cultural experiences.
The Minister also expressed his desire to work closely with the Federation to develop innovative programs that cater to the evolving needs of young people and contribute to the overall development of the youth sector in Algeria. He pledged to provide the necessary resources and support to ensure the continued success and expansion of the youth hostel network.
The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to continue the dialogue and work together to implement concrete measures that will benefit young people and strengthen the role of youth hostels in Algeria’s development agenda.
