Sidi Moussa, Algeria – The Algerian national football team, known as Les Verts (The Greens), commenced their preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 at the National Technical Center in Sidi Moussa on Monday.
The training camp marks the official start of the team’s journey towards the continental tournament, scheduled to take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
According to an official statement released by the Algerian Football Federation (FAF), the players reported to the Sidi Moussa facility ready to begin intensive training under the watchful eye of the national team coach and his staff. The initial days will focus on fitness assessments and tactical familiarization sessions.
The FAF emphasized the importance of this preparation period, highlighting the team’s ambition to perform strongly in the prestigious tournament. Algeria will be aiming to replicate their success from the 2019 AFCON, where they secured the title.
