Algiers Achieves New Milestone in Regional Media Leadership
Algeria has achieved a significant media accomplishment with the appointment of its candidate to the position of Director of the Arab News and Program Exchange Center, affiliated with the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU). This victory comes on the eve of the 45th General Assembly of the Union in Tunis.
Consensus Building Leads to Victory
The Algerian candidate’s appointment was secured through endorsement following intensive meetings led by the Director-General of Algerian Television, Mohamed Boughali, under the supervision of relevant public authorities. These efforts successfully garnered consensus among the heads of Arab radio and television organizations.
Algeria’s Continued Influence
Adel Kansous, former Assistant to the Director-General of Algerian Television, earned the trust of the ASBU General Assembly members, representing television, radio, and broadcasting institutions. This appointment ensures that Algerians continue to hold this vital position, previously occupied by an Algerian official.
