Teacher Recruitment: Interview Dates and Candidate Invitations

DZWatch has learned details regarding the next steps in the national teacher recruitment process. Following the completion of application reviews and the announcement of eligible candidates, invitations for interviews will be issued no later than January 30, 2025.

Candidates wishing to appeal the selection process will have until February 9, 2026, to submit their appeals. This provides a five-day window before the scheduled interview dates, which are set to begin on February 21, 2026.

The Ministry of Education has instructed regional education directorates to secure interview locations by January 20, 2026, ensuring efficient organization and a smooth process for all participants. This proactive measure aims to accommodate the large number of candidates expected to participate.

Candidates will receive their interview invitations through the dedicated online recruitment platform. This platform will provide all necessary information, including the interview location and scheduled time.

Given the anticipated high volume of applicants, education directorates are urged to allocate a sufficient number of interview centers, equipped with the necessary resources to accommodate candidates and facilitate a well-organized interview process.

Selection committees, established by order of the Director of Education, will consist of the Director or their representative as chairperson, and two members holding positions higher than the rank being contested. A copy of the appointment order, including the names of substitute members, must be submitted to the local public service authorities within ten days of its signing, and in all cases before February 9, 2026, to allow for timely review.

Education directorates are reminded to strictly adhere to the selection criteria outlined in the decree of July 15, 2014, which governs the organization of professional examinations for joining specific ranks within the national education system. Special attention should be given to the evaluation of professional experience, based on the suitability of the candidate’s qualifications to the requirements of the targeted rank.
