Algeria Launches Digital Platform for Raw Material Imports

Algiers, December 16, 2025 – Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamal Rezig, today officially launched a digital platform designed to manage and monitor the provisional programs for importing raw materials for the first half of 2026. The launch took place at the ministry headquarters.

According to a ministry statement, this platform aims to streamline the import process of raw materials, ensuring transparency, faster processing, and data accuracy concerning the provisional programs for the first semester of 2026 for economic institutions involved in production.

The platform is exclusively dedicated to economic institutions holding commercial registry activity codes 01 and 07. This targeted approach allows for directing imports towards the actual needs of national production, contributing to the support of the national economy and enhancing its competitiveness, the statement emphasized.

Minister Rezig affirmed that the launch of this platform is part of the implementation of the state’s policy aimed at modernizing the management of foreign trade and transitioning to effective digital administration, serving economic operators and supporting national production. “This initiative underscores our commitment to leveraging technology for economic advancement,” he stated.

Furthermore, the Minister revealed the upcoming launch of two additional digital platforms. The first will be dedicated to monitoring the import of services, and the second will focus on ‘Sale on Sample’ transactions. These platforms are part of a comprehensive digital system designed to regulate various modes of foreign trade.

The ministry expects the platform to significantly reduce bureaucratic hurdles and improve the efficiency of import operations, fostering a more favorable environment for businesses operating in Algeria.
