Deadline Extended for Final Lump-Sum Tax Payment

Algiers, Algeria – The General Directorate of Taxes has announced an extension to the deadline for the final payment of the single lump-sum tax (Impôt Forfaitaire Unique – IFU). Taxpayers now have until December 18th to fulfill their obligations.

The original deadline was set for December 15th. This extension applies to all taxpayers registered with local tax centers and tax inspectorates across the country.

In an official statement, the Directorate explained that this decision was made to facilitate taxpayers’ compliance with their fiscal responsibilities under optimal conditions. The extension aims to provide taxpayers with additional time to finalize their payments.

The single lump-sum tax is a simplified tax regime designed for small businesses and individual entrepreneurs. This extension is expected to be welcomed by many businesses, providing them with a more manageable timeframe to meet their financial obligations to the state.
