Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – State Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, held a meeting with members of the Algerian community residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.
The meeting took place during Mr. Chaib’s visit to Riyadh, where he participated in the 11th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, held on December 14th and 15th.
The discussions focused on strengthening ties between the Algerian government and its citizens living abroad, addressing their concerns, and exploring ways to further contribute to Algeria’s development. Mr. Chaib emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting the Algerian diaspora and facilitating their engagement with their homeland.
The State Secretary highlighted various initiatives aimed at promoting cultural exchange, providing educational opportunities, and simplifying administrative procedures for Algerians living abroad. He also reiterated the importance of maintaining close links with the Algerian identity and values.
