Riyadh – The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, held a meeting today with members of the Algerian community residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The meeting took place on the sidelines of his visit to Riyadh for the 11th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, held on December 14th and 15th.
This encounter is part of the ongoing implementation of the policy of listening and consultation with the national community abroad, initiated by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune. The policy aims to assess the conditions of the diaspora, understand their concerns, and follows up on a previous meeting held in March with community members residing in the consular district of Jeddah.
The meeting was conducted in a friendly and cordial atmosphere, fostering direct communication and interactive discussion with community members regarding their concerns and suggestions. This approach was well-received by the attendees. During his address, the Secretary of State commended the positive image reflected by the Algerian community in the Kingdom, highlighting their crucial role in strengthening communication bridges between Algeria and Saudi Arabia and solidifying the historical and fraternal relations between the two nations.
