Algiers – The Regional Group of the National Gendarmerie in Algiers is calling on citizens and organizations who have fallen victim to fraud perpetrated by an individual posing as the head of the “Sada Echabab Forum” (Youth Echo Forum) to file formal complaints with the relevant judicial and security authorities.
According to a statement released by the Gendarmerie, in accordance with Article 26 of the Code of Criminal Procedure No. 25-14 dated August 3, 2025, and under the authorization issued by the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Cheraga Court, the suspect, identified as (B. M. F.), has been apprehended by the Investigation and Research Service of the National Gendarmerie in Algiers.
The statement indicates that the suspect is allegedly involved in public fraud cases. He is accused of exploiting his claimed position as head of the Sada Echabab Forum, falsely representing himself as a public authority, issuing certificates attesting to factually incorrect information, and granting unauthorized licenses for the establishment of childcare facilities without legal basis.
The National Gendarmerie’s Regional Group in Algiers reiterates its call to any individual or entity that may have been victimized by the alleged actions of the suspect. They are urged to contact the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Cheraga Court, or to visit the headquarters of the Investigation and Research Service of the National Gendarmerie in Algiers, or the nearest National Gendarmerie station nationwide, to file a complaint or provide testimony as part of the ongoing investigation.
The authorities emphasize the importance of reporting any incidents related to this individual to ensure a thorough investigation and to bring the perpetrator to justice.
