Government Meeting Focuses on Digital Transformation, Infrastructure

Algiers – The Algerian government convened a meeting led by a high-ranking official to address critical strategic files related to the management of fundamental infrastructure and to accelerate the country’s digital transformation process. This initiative is in direct response to the directives issued by the President of the Republic.

During the meeting, the government examined a draft executive decree outlining the procedures for transferring completed infrastructure and equipment within the new city framework to relevant administrations and institutions. The objective is to ensure their optimal utilization and effective operational deployment through a streamlined organizational approach.

The government also continued its review of projects registered under the President’s directives concerning the implementation of digital transformation. This transformation is considered a cornerstone for modernizing the administration and enhancing the quality of public services.

Furthermore, four comprehensive presentations were reviewed, detailing the progress of digitization across various ministerial sectors. These presentations also covered the project to establish the second national data center and the national digital services portal.

The meeting also highlighted the establishment of two strategic, state-of-the-art facilities representing Algeria’s first national computing core. These facilities are designed to secure and modernize public and economic services according to the highest technological standards.

This meeting underscores the government’s commitment to strengthening digital governance and accelerating modernization, aligning with the national vision of building a modern administration and an integrated digital economy. The focus remains on improving efficiency and accessibility for all citizens.
