Algiers – Prime Minister Sifi Gherib inaugurated the official celebrations for International Arabic Language Day on Thursday at the Abdelatif Rahal International Conference Center in Algiers. The event marked the commencement of a series of activities dedicated to honoring and promoting the Arabic language.
The Prime Minister presided over the opening ceremony, emphasizing the importance of preserving and celebrating the rich cultural heritage embodied by the Arabic language. He highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening the role of Arabic in education, culture, and public life.
A key highlight of the event was the inaugural presentation of the President of the Republic’s Prize for Literature and the Arabic Language.
