Algiers, December 18, 2025 – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune today visited several key industrial pavilions at the opening of the 33rd National Production Exhibition, underscoring the government’s commitment to bolstering local manufacturing and reducing import dependence.
During his tour, President Tebboune stopped at the booth of the National Iron and Steel Company, where he received a detailed presentation on the products of ‘Anabib,’ a subsidiary that has begun manufacturing automotive components. These include vehicle lights and body parts within its plastics division. The company is also producing accessories for agricultural pivot irrigation systems, a move aimed at reducing the country’s import bill.
Earlier, the President visited the pavilion of the agro-food conglomerate ‘Agrodiv,’ where he was briefed on the group’s performance and new product offerings, particularly those resulting from recent expansions and the commissioning of new production units.
President Tebboune also made a stop at the ‘Ceram Decor’ group, a specialist in the manufacturing of porcelain and ceramics. The group employs over 2,000 workers and exports its products to more than 25 countries worldwide.
Furthermore, the President visited the ‘Tosyali Algeria’ iron and steel complex pavilion, where he received comprehensive information on the new projects launched by the group in the Gara Djebilet and Bechar regions. These projects are considered vital for the future of Algeria’s steel industry.
President Tebboune’s visit highlights the government’s strong support for national industries and its focus on promoting locally produced goods as a key driver of economic growth.
