A military and strategic expert, Colonel Hatem Karim al-Fallahi, asserts that Israel is engaging in unchecked military aggression in the Gaza Strip. He emphasizes that the daily bombardment constitutes a systematic operation, not merely isolated incidents.
Speaking during a military analysis segment, al-Fallahi stated that the absence of firm ceasefire frameworks and accountability encourages Israel to persist in violating the agreement to halt hostilities in the region.
On Friday evening, Israeli forces shelled a school sheltering displaced persons in the al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City. This area falls outside the zones controlled by Israel under the ceasefire agreement. The strike resulted in the deaths of five Palestinians, including children, and injuries to others.
The military expert pointed out that a single artillery shell can fragment, reaching distances exceeding 250 meters and causing substantial loss of life, especially in densely populated areas.
Reports indicate that the targeted area in al-Tuffah lies outside Israeli control and beyond established boundaries. Shells reached areas presumed to be safe. At the time of the shelling, a wedding celebration was taking place on the second floor of the school.
Al-Fallahi affirmed that Israel has not adhered to all provisions of the ceasefire agreement from the outset. The Gaza Strip experiences daily aerial bombardments and artillery fire. He added that this Israeli approach extends to the Syrian and Lebanese fronts, despite existing ceasefire agreements.
Regarding Israel’s rejection of Turkish forces as part of a joint force in Gaza, al-Fallahi explained that Israel perceives Iranian influence in Syria being replaced by Turkish influence. He suggested that Tel Aviv is unwilling to grant Turkey a role in the proposed international force for Gaza, despite Turkey’s significant regional influence.
Al-Fallahi further stated that Israel is preventing the entry of medicine, food, and tents into Gaza, and carrying out assassinations in the territory with impunity. He cautioned against the actions of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court.
