Tamanrasset, Algeria – A devastating traffic accident on National Route 01, near the village of Tit in Tamanrasset province, has resulted in the deaths of three people and injuries to several others. The collision occurred earlier this evening, prompting a rapid response from emergency services.
According to a statement released by the Civil Protection services, their teams were dispatched at approximately 7:15 PM local time following reports of a violent collision between two utility vehicles. The impact reportedly led to a fire engulfing both vehicles involved.
The accident resulted in the immediate deaths of three individuals at the scene, including two victims who were severely burned. Two other people sustained injuries of varying degrees of severity. Paramedics provided initial medical assistance to the injured before transporting them to Tamanrasset Hospital for further treatment.
The remains of the deceased have been transferred to the hospital’s morgue pending the completion of standard legal procedures. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash.
