DZWatch has received information from meteorological services indicating that several regions of the country are bracing for significant thunderstorms and varying levels of rainfall, some of which could be locally heavy. The inclement weather is expected to commence around midnight tonight and persist through Tuesday.
Specifically, the provinces of Tlemcen, Ain Temouchent, Oran, Mostaganem, Chlef, and Relizane can anticipate thunderstorms with rainfall amounts ranging between 20 and 40 mm. This period of intense weather is forecast to last from midnight until noon tomorrow, Monday.
Furthermore, the meteorological services predict thunderstorms with rainfall amounts between 20 and 30 mm for the provinces of Tipaza, Algiers, Boumerdes, Ain Defla, Blida, and Medea. These conditions are expected to develop from 6:00 AM until 3:00 PM on Monday.
Later on Monday, from noon until 10:00 PM, the provinces of Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Jijel, Bouira, Setif, and Mila are forecast to experience thunderstorms with rainfall accumulations between 20 and 30 mm.
Authorities are also issuing a cautionary note regarding potentially heavy thunderstorms, with rainfall exceeding 40 mm, affecting the provinces of Skikda, Annaba, El Tarf, Constantine, Guelma, and Souk Ahras. This intense period is expected to begin at 6:00 PM on Monday and continue until 6:00 AM on Tuesday.
