Disciplinary Committee Announces Penalties for League Round 13

Algiers – The Disciplinary Committee of the Professional Football League has announced a series of sanctions and disciplinary measures following the matches of Round 13, which took place from Thursday to Saturday.

The committee’s decisions include suspensions and financial penalties levied against players, coaches, and clubs for reasons ranging from protesting referee decisions and unsportsmanlike conduct to the use of pyrotechnics in the stands and excessive accumulation of yellow cards.

Among the most notable penalties is a one-match suspension for Abdelghani Awamri, the assistant coach of MC Rouissat, following his dismissal during the team’s match against MC Alger after receiving two yellow cards.

Furthermore, USM Alger player, Houssam Eddine Ghacha, has been handed a one-match suspension and a fine for unsportsmanlike behavior and repeated protests against the referee’s decisions.

Several clubs have also been subjected to financial penalties. Olympique de Chlef, CS Constantine, ES Setif, USM Alger, and CR Belouizdad have all been fined for the use of pyrotechnics or the throwing of projectiles by their supporters. The fines range from 30,000 to 400,000 Algerian dinars, depending on the nature and frequency of the offense.

In addition, a number of players and coaches have received warnings and financial penalties for protesting refereeing decisions. Affected parties include players from MC El Bayadh, USM Mostaganem, JS Kabylie, and CR Belouizdad. Violations related to delaying the restart of play in certain matches were also recorded.
