Algiers, Algeria – Sofiane Chaib, the Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, presided over a welcoming ceremony in Algiers today for a group of children from the Algerian community residing in France. The event marked the children’s participation in the ‘Journey of Memory’ program, an initiative designed to connect young members of the diaspora with their ancestral homeland.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad and African Affairs released a statement highlighting the importance of such programs in fostering a strong sense of belonging and cultural identity among young Algerians living abroad.
