Algeria Suspends Utility Cutoffs During AFCON Tournament

Algiers, December 22, 2025 – Sonelgaz, Algeria’s national electricity and gas company, has announced a temporary suspension of utility disconnections for customers with outstanding bills. The suspension will be in effect for the duration of the national team’s participation in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
