Israeli Forces Conduct Raids Across West Bank, Settler Violence Escalates

West Bank – Israeli forces conducted multiple raids across the occupied West Bank on Monday evening and Tuesday morning, sparking confrontations with local residents. Simultaneously, reports emerged of settler attacks targeting Palestinian homes in the Hebron area.

According to reports from the ground, Israeli military units stormed the city of Tubas, located in the northern West Bank. Simultaneously, a Palestinian home in As-Samu’, south of Hebron, was reportedly attacked by Israeli settlers.

Further north, Israeli forces entered the towns of Silwad, northeast of Ramallah, and Kobar, north of the city. Live ammunition was reportedly fired during these incursions, although initial reports indicate no immediate casualties or arrests.

In the Bethlehem area, Israeli troops established a military checkpoint at the entrance to Wad Rahal village, restricting access for residents.

Sources in the northern West Bank reported Israeli military activity in Kardala village in the northern Jordan Valley, as well as the villages of Shuweika, Anabta, and Kafr al-Labad in the Tulkarm Governorate. Similar operations were reported in Madama and Beita, south of Nablus, and Beit Dajan, east of the city, accompanied by the use of tear gas and sound bombs and the closure of commercial establishments.

In occupied East Jerusalem, Israeli authorities demolished a building housing 13 families in the Wadi Qaddum neighborhood of Silwan on Monday, citing construction without permits. Tear gas and sound bombs were deployed against residents prior to the arrest of two individuals.

The Jerusalem Governorate condemned the demolition as a “war crime” and an act of forced displacement aimed at emptying the town of its inhabitants.

Amidst the ongoing conflict in Gaza, there has been a marked increase in Israeli military and settler violence in the West Bank, resulting in the deaths of over 1100 Palestinians, with approximately 11,000 injured and over 21,000 detained.

The situation remains tense, with further updates expected.
