Algiers, December 22, 2025 – Lamine Osmani, head of the People’s Voice Party, today received Venezuelan Ambassador to Algeria, Emad Saab Saab, at the party’s headquarters in Algiers. The meeting, attended by several members of the party’s National Political Bureau, focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Algeria and Venezuela.
Discussions centered on key developments in international and regional affairs, with a particular emphasis on avenues for enhancing political and economic cooperation between the two nations. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to aligning with Algeria’s steadfast support for just causes and the empowerment of vulnerable populations.
A key point of agreement was the importance of realizing the vision of both countries’ presidents to establish a direct air route between Algiers and Caracas. Participants also explored ways to intensify economic and agricultural exchanges, facilitating the export of Algerian products to Venezuela on a mutually beneficial basis. Furthermore, they discussed strengthening party-to-party diplomacy by fostering closer ties between the People’s Voice Party and the ruling party in Venezuela.
The meeting highlighted the significance of exchanging political expertise and experiences between the two countries, as well as enhancing party coordination in international forums to promote international peace, justice, and respect for national sovereignty. Both sides underscored the crucial role of political parties in fostering closer ties between peoples and solidifying South-South cooperation.
Ambassador Saab expressed his appreciation for Algeria’s unwavering stance on various just causes worldwide. In a gesture of condolence, he extended his sincere sympathies to the People’s Voice Party on the passing of the late Nadjib Hattoum, advisor to the party leader and deputy mayor of El Harrach. The two parties agreed to hold further meetings in the future to continue their dialogue and collaboration.
