Algiers, December 23, 2025 – Salima Bakhta Mansouri, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of African Affairs, received Mr. Abdoulaye Mohamed Barak, a political activist and former Ghanaian Member of Parliament, at the ministry headquarters today.
Mr. Barak is currently visiting Algeria, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad and African Affairs.
The meeting provided an opportunity for discussions on matters of mutual interest between Algeria and Ghana, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring avenues for increased cooperation across various sectors. The talks also touched upon regional issues and the importance of collaborative efforts to promote peace and stability in Africa.
Secretary of State Mansouri reaffirmed Algeria’s commitment to fostering stronger ties with African nations, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and partnership in addressing the challenges facing the continent. She highlighted Algeria’s dedication to supporting initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable development and economic growth throughout Africa.
