The Palestinian Ministry of Health has reported a distressing rise in casualties due to the continuous Zionist aggression in Gaza and the West Bank since October 7. The toll has reached 10,966 martyrs, with over 28,500 injured.

According to the ministry’s daily report, Gaza alone accounts for 10,790 martyrs and more than 26,000 injured. In the West Bank, there are 176 martyrs and approximately 2,450 wounded. Among the deceased are 4,412 children, 2,918 women, and 667 elderly individuals. Additionally, about 2,650 citizens are missing, including more than 1,400 children.

The ongoing conflict has severely affected healthcare facilities, with 18 out of 35 hospitals ceasing operations and 71% of all primary care facilities in Gaza closed due to damage or fuel shortages. Doctors are compelled to perform surgeries without anesthesia, including limb amputations.

The Ministry also highlighted that 117,000 displaced people, along with medical and health staff and thousands of patients, are currently taking shelter in health facilities. Gaza and West Bank Casualties

In Gaza, 1.5 million citizens have been internally displaced, constituting over 70% of the population. Approximately 690,400 individuals are living in 149 emergency shelters designated by UNRWA. Another 121,750 citizens are sheltering in hospitals, churches, and other public buildings, while about 99,150 are in 82 non-UNRWA schools. The remaining 600,000 displaced persons are staying with host families, with 150,000 having moved to shelters in recent days in search of food and basic services.

The Ministry has also reported that around 40,000 housing units have been completely destroyed, with another 222,000 suffering partial damage. Fifteen healthcare facilities and 51 primary health clinics have been destroyed. Additionally, 278 schools have been damaged, including 38 completely destroyed, and UNRWA facilities, including those sheltering displaced people, have been targeted, along with the damage to 7 churches and 66 mosques due to bombing.
