Fraud Alert: ADL 3 Subscribers Targeted in Online Payment Scam

Algiers – Algérie Poste has issued a warning to subscribers of the ADL 3 housing program regarding a surge in fraudulent online payment schemes. The postal service is urging citizens to exercise extreme caution and utilize only official electronic payment channels when settling installments for the housing initiative.

In a statement released on its official social media channels, Algérie Poste emphasized that payments should be made securely via the official ADL (Agence d’amélioration et de développement du logement) website, using the ‘Carte Eddahabia’ (gold card). This method ensures a safe and straightforward transaction process.

The warning comes in response to reports of fraudulent phone calls where individuals impersonating Algérie Poste employees or representatives of the payment processing agencies attempt to deceive subscribers into making payments over the phone. These scammers aim to extract sensitive banking information from unsuspecting citizens.

Algérie Poste strongly advises ADL 3 subscribers to be vigilant and to refrain from sharing any personal or banking details with unverified sources. The postal service reiterated that it will never request sensitive information over the phone for ADL 3 payments. Subscribers are encouraged to independently verify the legitimacy of any communication regarding payment procedures.

Citizens are reminded to always double-check the source of information and to report any suspicious activity to the relevant authorities. By remaining cautious and using official channels, subscribers can protect themselves from falling victim to these increasingly sophisticated online scams and ensure the secure processing of their ADL 3 payments.
