Civil Protection services have recovered the body of an unidentified individual in the Bir El Djir area of Oran province. The operation, part of their routine activities, commenced at approximately 11:47 AM.
Operational units, supported by a specialized team for difficult and rugged terrains, alongside a diving unit, were dispatched to the scene in Djoualek Canastel. This location is characterized by its extremely rocky and challenging landscape.
The rescue teams successfully extracted the body amidst complex field conditions. The remains were then transported to the morgue at the 1st of November Hospital in Es Senia for the completion of standard legal procedures.
Authorities are currently working to identify the deceased and determine the circumstances surrounding the death. An investigation is underway. This incident highlights the ongoing challenges faced by Civil Protection units in responding to emergencies in difficult-to-access areas within the region.
