Algeria Post Clarifies Validity of CNEP-POSTE Payment Card

Algeria Post has issued a statement clarifying the validity period for its CNEP-POSTE electronic payment card. The postal service provider announced that the card is valid for three years from the date of issue.

The announcement, made via their official Facebook page on Saturday, comes as Algeria Post continues its efforts to modernize its services and enhance customer experience by replacing traditional savings books with the CNEP-POSTE card.

According to the statement, the replacement process is conducted exclusively at the post office branch where the account was originally opened. Customers undergoing the replacement will receive a temporary receipt, allowing them to continue conducting their transactions as usual until they receive their new card.

Crucially, the temporary receipt includes the password for the ECNEP platform, ensuring uninterrupted access to digital services during the transition period. This measure aims to provide a seamless experience for customers as they adopt the new payment method.

Algeria Post emphasized that this initiative is part of a broader strategy to digitize its operations and provide more efficient and convenient services to its users. The CNEP-POSTE card offers a secure and modern alternative to traditional savings books, facilitating easier access to funds and a wider range of online and offline payment options.

The postal service is encouraging customers to visit their local post office branch to initiate the replacement process and take advantage of the benefits offered by the CNEP-POSTE card. This move is expected to streamline transactions and contribute to the overall modernization of Algeria’s postal and financial services sector.
