Algiers, Algeria – Hamas has extended its congratulations to Algeria and Ambassador Amar Ben Jamaa on being named ‘Diplomat of the Year’ for 2025. The announcement was made by Youssef Hamdan, Hamas’ representative in Algeria.
Hamdan described the award as a well-deserved recognition of Algeria’s distinguished role within the United Nations Security Council. He emphasized the country’s unwavering commitment to defending just causes, particularly the Palestinian cause.
‘This honor reflects the international community’s appreciation for Algeria’s persistent efforts,’ Hamdan stated. He further highlighted the historical significance of Algeria’s struggle for liberation, noting its impact on Palestine and freedom-seeking nations worldwide.
Hamdan expressed confidence that Algeria’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian people would continue, even after its term on the Security Council concludes. He reiterated Hamas’ belief that Algeria will stand firmly by the Palestinian cause until the occupation ends, independence is achieved, and the right of return is realized.
