Algiers – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune today reiterated his unwavering commitment to pursuing political dialogue with various political parties in Algeria. This announcement underscores the government’s dedication to fostering a participatory approach that strengthens democratic practices throughout the nation.
Addressing the nation in a speech delivered before Parliament at the Palais des Nations, President Tebboune emphasized that engaging with the people through their elected representatives reflects a firm and irreversible political will. He affirmed that his commitments stem from the trust placed in him by the Algerian people.
President Tebboune clarified his continued commitment to launching a comprehensive political dialogue with all parties. He noted that he had previously affirmed this intention during meetings with numerous political leaders. He further indicated that this process will commence following parliamentary approval of the new law on political parties.
The President envisions the upcoming dialogue as “constructive and responsible,” aiming to bolster political stability and enhance party activity. He explicitly pledged to implement all outcomes reached through consensus with the political parties involved. “We will implement everything that is agreed upon,” he stated.
This renewed commitment aligns with the official policy aimed at promoting political engagement and expanding the scope of consultation, ultimately serving the nation’s interests and addressing the aspirations of its citizens.
